This focused work of color and geometry was awakened by a simple high school art class assignment in 1967, blending graphite from light to dark. Then a college acrylic painting exercise introduced a sectioned triangle as a tool for grading color to white and black. The fascinating magic of this geometry and transitioning of color still thrills and perpetuates the design and construction of canvas galaxies of wonder. New worlds continue to open and expand in response to the question: 'What would happen if.....'
