I have been taking photographs since I was a teenager and have learned that the best photo is not always the 'pretty' shot. A photo needs to tell a story or evoke and emotion. That's what I look for when I have my camera in hand. I grew up on the Finger Lakes in central New York. It's an area full of beauty for inspiration as well as very snowy winters.
