This is a mid-size watercolor of hippos enjoying a relaxing day of splashing in the waves, playing cards, napping and picnicking at the beach.
Refreshment of strength and spirits after work is very important to the well being of hippos. Activities done for enjoyment when hippos are not working include: walking on the bottom of streams or rivers, reading, playing games and dancing. Some hippos have even been known to take up photography as a form of relaxation. Outdoor activities make it possible to meet other hippos with similar interests, and can cause an improvement in confidence and creativity.
