Description
This is an early acrylic on canvas painted in 1991. It was painted from a photo I took while on a trip up Mulholland Drive from Leo Carrillo beach on the Malibu Coast all the way to Topanga Canyon Boulevard to the East. The Pacific Ocean is in the background, and a lake close to the middle. I used to love to get away on a Sunday in my old Chevy and explore the beauty of areas around Los Angeles County and sometimes Ventura.
It is getting close to abstract, but I wanted to retain some of the character of the hills and the feeling of space.
