Description
September 2008 - "Sun Triumphant I" is part of a 3-part collage series with a sun motif. After years of not creating artwork, this series emerged during a time of personal upheaval and difficulty. The sun was meant to inspire endurance in any situation.
This piece is comprised of magazine clippings, card stock, ink stamps, and freehand ink designs.

I like the repetition of shapes in various sizes here. Besides the sun, of course, my favorite parts are probably the wonderful mottled abstract pattern on the strip across the top and on the piece surrounding the sun itself and that little window snippet in the upper left.
